SIGNIFICANT CARE AND ATTENTION WERE PAID TO THIS 1940’S CLASSIC OLD ENFIELD HOME. TRADITIONAL TRIM WAS MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT, THE CHARM AND CHARACTER OF EACH ROOM WAS PRESERVED, AND THE ORIGINAL COLORFUL ENCAUSTIC TILE FLOORS WERE REFURBISHED AND CAREFULLY RE-CREATED IN SOME AREAS. WITH THIS LEVEL OF RESPECT FOR THE ORIGINAL DESIGN CAME THE CHALLENGE OF INTEGRATING A STATE-OF-THE-ART CULINARY KITCHEN AND A HIDDEN PANTRY. OLD MEETS NEW AND NEW LOOKS ORIGINAL IN THIS SUBTLY MODERNIZED HOME WITH OLD AUSTIN CHARM. THE ART ENTHUSIASTS OF THE HOME WERE METICULOUS IN CULTIVATING A COLLECTION OF ALMOST ENTIRELY GEN X ARTISTS, WHICH IS JUST AS PLAYFUL AS THE DÉCOR AND VINTAGE FURNISHINGS WITH WHICH IT COHABITATES.
